Here is an excerpt from the beginning of the Lighthouse article:
In the end, of course, none of Jesus’ inspirational message to the world — its beautiful language, brilliant logic, and blessed words of love — means anything at all if the message is not lived and practiced. This is why Jesus makes the following important statement in the text, which can be taken as a caution to all of his students not to repeat the mistakes of the past two thousand years of seeking to teach his message without first seeking to learn it for themselves:
Teach not that I died in vain. Teach rather that I did not die by demonstrating that I live in you (T-11.VI.7:3-4; italics mine).
The article appears on pages 344-346 of the print version of From The Lighthouse: To Look Upon Darkness Through Light Must Dispel It, an anthology of Lighthouse articles by Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D. and Gloria Wapnick from the Foundation for A Course in Miracles. This anthology is also available in ePub (digital) format (in 3 volumes). In addition to Course-related products such as the Lighthouse anthology, the FACIM website has numerous new additions, including an excellent hyperlinked glossary of terms used in ACIM and much other new material.

The Lighthouse Group studies and meets quarterly at RMMC to read and discuss a selected newsletter written by Dr. Kenneth Wapnick. Here is an excerpt from the beginning of the Lighthouse article:
“The title of this article calls our attention to one of the most important ideas that A Course in Miracles teaches: This world is not our home, and therefore in some region of our minds that is obviously unknown to us, we do not quite feel as if we belong here. Deep down within us we indeed feel as if we are strangers in a strange world:”
This world you seem to live in is not home to you. And somewhere in your mind you know that this is true. A memory of home keeps haunting you, as if there were a place that called you to return, although you do not recognize the voice, nor what it is the voice reminds you of. Yet still you feel an alien here, from somewhere all unknown. Nothing so definite that you could say with certainty you are an exile here. Just a persistent feeling, sometimes not more than a tiny throb, at other times hardly remembered, actively dismissed, but surely to return to mind again. (W-pI.182.1).
The article appears on pages 307-310 of the print version of From The Lighthouse: To Look Upon Darkness Through Light Must Dispel It, an anthology of Lighthouse articles by Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D. and Gloria Wapnick from the Foundation for A Course in Miracles. - The Iron Horse (Antonio Tucker) “Peace begins in the womb” meeting (normally 12:30 pm Mountain Time) is NOT canceled for next Sunday, June 28, 2020. (NOTE: This post on the RMMC website incorrectly announced a cancellation of the June 28, 2020 Iron Eagle study group; this group will continue on June 28 as originally announced; apologies for any confusion.)
- Barb McKinstry – who heads up the Saturday meditation at 3pm would like to poll the community regarding a possible better time to meet for this weekly group: “Our Saturday meditation intention is to bring peace and healing to the world. We are meeting via zoom at 3:00 to 3:30 pm. If there is a better day or time for you to attend, please email that information to rockymtnmiracle@gmail.com”
- RMMC has lots of donations of books and CDs from the libraries of Chris Dixon and Victoria Maunton. There are sign-out sheets to borrow these in the small room adjacent to the larger ‘library’ room.

The Lighthouse Group studies and meets quarterly at RMMC to read and discuss a selected newsletter written by Dr. Kenneth Wapnick. We will be using one of the earlier articles Vol. 11, #2 (originally printed June 2000), and entitled “A Kind and Simple Presentation of a Kind and Simple Message.” You can read the article here:

NOTE: This meeting will take place online via zoom. Please see the details here on how to use zoom to attend RMMC meetings.
Here is an excerpt from the beginning of the Lighthouse article:
Readers accustomed to seeing articles in our newsletter that deal with metaphysical issues, will be surprised at this one. Our basic emphasis here is why we as students of A Course in Miracles persist in not doing the simple things salvation asks (T-31.I.1:10–2:2), thereby rejecting the wonderful benefits that the Course is offering to us, and through us to others. Moreover, the simplicity of its message goes hand in hand with the kindness that is inevitable if one truly practices forgiveness—clearly the heart of the message. In the following article, therefore, we focus on how this simple message falls prey to the lethal barrier of our choice for the ego thought system, which results in our core need to judge and attack others. In the spirit of this non-metaphysical simplicity, we take our cue from Jesus’ opening words to Workbook Lesson 133, “I will not value what is valueless.”:
