T. 26. III. 4 – 7. Jesus: “Nothing the Son of God believes can be destroyed. But what he thinks is truth must be brought to the last comparison that he will ever make; the last evaluation that will be possible, the final judgment upon this world.
This is not your decision; but rather a simple recognition of a simple fact! In this world, however, there are no simple facts, because what is the same and what is different remain unclear. This final distinction is the one essential thing on which to make any choice at all. And herein lies the difference between the worlds. In this one, real choice is made impossible. In the real world is choosing greatly simplified!
There is no basis for a choice in this complex and over-complicated world. For no one understands ‘all that is the same,’ and seems thereby to choose where no choice really is. The real world is the area of choice made real, not in the outcome, but in the perception of alternatives for choice. That there really is a choice is an illusion. Yet within the one we’ve just alluded to, lies the undoing of every illusion, not excepting this.
