Fa Creighton
Maureen Ewell
Maureen started out as an Air Force brat in a large Catholic Family. She left her faith behind after high school and did not pick it up again until her mid-fifties when she was introduced to ACIM. Joining the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center shortly after that she has enjoyed listening to the many voices of members here expressing their spiritual needs and understanding of the Course. She is also the bookkeeper for the Center, and shares that task with Liisa Morrissey. Having actively participated at the Center for years, she is currently the Secretary on the Board of Trustees.
Ron Grow
Ron was born in 1939 and raised on five acres near Bothell, Washington. He taught economics in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado community colleges until he retired. His spiritual journey began in 1969 after he was involved in a head-on crash which was fatal to the other driver. Though not at fault nor seriously injured, he experienced anxiety and guilt throughout the following year. In therapy, he began to realize how much his old beliefs were affecting him. By changing his thought system his experience of life was changing too. Around that time, he met Elnore and they have been together ever since. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandsons. Dr. Gerald Jampolsky came to Denver in 1981 and that was Ron and Elnore’s introduction to A Course in Miracles. During a subsequent meditation, Ron saw Jesus beckoning to him, saying “Follow me,” while holding up a copy of the Course. His current approach to studying the Course was recommended by Ken Wapnick, who stated often that the Course is broader, richer and deeper than students realize if they have been focussing mostly on the Workbook. Ron then began working through the Text again, a couple paragraphs a day, all the while asking the Holy Spirit’s help. Ron has been a member of RMMC since 1999 and served on its Board several times. He shares his “daily homework” by e-mail and leads a Course study group every Wednesday evening in his home next to Red Rocks. Contact Ron at rongrow@rocketmail.com or phone 303-697-6088. He can help you with the Course and shares Course-based healing sessions in his home or at the Center.

Barb McKinstry
Barbara McKinstry was born in southeast New Mexico in 1959. Born to Colorado natives, her parents resettled in Denver in 1968. In 2010, after a long career life Barbara decided to become a minister of A Course in Miracles. Barbara was ordained as a ACIM Minister, on Easter in 2014, at The Community Miracles Center in San Francisco, CA. Finding that ACIM becomes a way of life, a way to ask how to see, feel, think in this dream. Barbara has had mystical experiences, dreams and special relationships that provide numerous lessons, forgiveness opportunities and the guidance to be in the world but not of it. Teacher Statement: I am among the Ministers of God. It has come to my attention that I don’t know what that means, but I can be sure he who sent me, will show me, if I but step aside to let Him show me. Undoubtedly I have everything I need and everything that happens is but for the good of all. To say these words is nothing but to mean them is everything.

Trudy Smith
Geri Thompson
Six months after my husband died, I went to a hot springs in Wyoming with my sister Christine. While in the hot tub we started talking to three other adults. I told them that I really liked their philosophy. Each smiled at me and almost all together told me to find someone who taught ACIM! About six months after that Maureen and I took a course at Arapahoe Community College taught by John Wright called “What Is The Meaning of Life?” The last day of the course, John told the class that he also taught ACIM!! Well, well, what a great surprise. Maureen and I joined that class and eventually ended up at the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center. I know now that Bob is not the ashes I threw out over the mountains and I talk to him every day. Bob had a purpose for his death, because now Christine, Maureen and I are ACIM students.r.
Former Facilitators:
Bob Bennett (Robert Bennett, Sr.)
Bob was born in Dubuque, Iowa, but grew up in Freeport, IL, a small semi-rural town only 20 miles south of the Wisconsin line. He attended Catholic primary school and graduated from Univ. of Notre Dame where he learned traditional Catholic values. Later he earned an MBA degree from Univ. of Chicago. and also a CPA in Illinois. Eventually, he left the religion of his youth and drifted for 10 years, unchurched. In 1968 he ran into a fellow attendee at a conference in Berkeley, CA. who raved about a book called “The Seth Material” and how it would change his life. So, he purchased the first three of the Seth books, and he was right. Next, he read an Edgar Cayce book and became hooked on channeled materials. Then he found ACIM through a friend in 1979 and began teaching classes in it in 1992. He was a pretty indifferent student and greatly overestimated his readiness to begin teaching it. He also joined Unity Church and began teaching high school-aged students in a Sunday School program as well as some other adult classes at Unity such as “Astrology in the Bible”, etc.He stayed with Unity for perhaps 10 years until becoming active at RMMC. Teaching has become his favorite activity.
Robert M. Bennett
Robert was born in San Antonio, Texas, into a devout Southern Baptist family. At the age of fourteen, he rebelled against what he saw as a fear-based teaching and began his spiritual search. In the early seventies, he went through intense transformational training with the Sunrise Ranch intentional community (Emissaries of Divine Light) near Loveland, Colorado. His training included energy healing, which he began practicing and teaching in 1973. But in a few years, he and his future wife, Amy, left the community. Robert spent the next thirty years raising a family and managing a paint contracting business while continuing his spiritual search. In 2008, he discovered A Course in Miracles and knew it was an effective “method” of practicing spiritual principles. And he had been looking for this. After attending Joy Schultz’s Course group, he knew he wanted to be more actively involved in the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center. He wanted to participate with other like-minded Course students and had found a spirit of welcome and friendship at the Center.Robert will be leading seminars on healing, with a focus on “hands-on” learning, in conjunction with the study of Course material.
Lyn Corona
Lyn was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1940. At the age of five, she moved with her family to rural New Hampshire. As an only child, she developed a deep appreciation for the wilderness, solitude and independent thinking. An emerging hunger for life’s deeper meaning began when she entered high school. She first heard the word “enlightenment” while reading books on eastern metaphysics and Zen Buddhism. She knew whatever that was she wanted it! After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, she married and had two children. After several years of world travel, success as an entrepreneur, and engaging as a political and social activist, she knew these adventures fell short of what she was seeking. In 1976, a friend gave her A Course in Miracles and her search ended. The next ten years were spent in constant study and application of the rich material. In 1986, in Pine, Colorado, Lyn wanted to share her enthusiasm about the Course’s uncompromising teachings, so she offered weekend retreats. She founded the Miracle Center on South Pearl Street in Denver in the early 1990s and she began to spend most of her time in Denver teaching classes. The center moved to 924 Logan Street in less than a year. Lyn has appeared in two documentaries on A Course in Miracles: Leap and A Course in Miracles, the Movie. She is currently the founder and president of the Ark of Peace, a non-profit established for extending the Course’s message of forgiveness. She is the founder and current Director of the School of Reason, which began in 2007; in 2015, its name changed to the School for A Course in Miracles; it has accelerated learning programs for students and aspiring teachers of the Course. Lyn is always mindful that it is the healing of perceived differences between teacher and student that brings both home to true and lasting peace. “We go together, you and I” is her favorite reminder of the importance of recognizing the shared purpose in every relationship. You can learn more about Lyn’s style of teaching by visiting the School For A Course in Miracles (SFACIM) website and you can email her via the SFACIM contact form.

Rudi Florian
I was born in 1934 in Schneidemühl, a small town near the Polish border in former Germany. After the war, this part of Germany became part of Poland and my family had to leave; so we moved to Berlin. I grew up in a very devout Catholic family. In 1957 I immigrated to the United States. That same year I joined the US Air Force and I stayed in it for 30 years. During those years I had many different, interesting assignments around the world. I met my wife Kris while visiting Berlin, and we married there in 1962. We had two kids, our son Frank and our daughter Carol. Our family traveled extensively in the US and to some foreign countries while I was on active duty in the US Air Force. During all that time, our family was deeply involved in the Catholic church. While stationed at Reese Air Force Base (AFB) near Lubbock, Texas in 1983, my wife read an article about A Course in Miracles in a yoga magazine and she subsequently ordered the three books from Menlo Park in California. She took them along to my new assignment at Hahn Air Base in Germany’s Hunsrück mountains. My wife began reading A Course in Miracles while we were living in the small town of Rhaunen in that region. After initially resisting its thought system, I also began to get interested in the Course. Around that time, we began to question our Catholic faith. In 1987, upon our return to the United States and after my last assignment to Kirtland AFB near Albuquerque, I retired from the Air Force and we stayed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our son and daughter had grown up in the meantime and no longer lived with us. They had left the Catholic church and had chosen their own spiritual paths. Shortly after my wife and I settled in Albuquerque, we decided to leave the Catholic church too and join Unity. During this time we also attended a weekly meeting of A Course In Miracles study group in a bookstore. After about a year and a half, we left Unity and our spiritual quest was now devoted entirely to studying A Course in Miracles. For a while, I facilitated a course group and we also had a study group at our home in Albuquerque. My wife and I also attended numerous workshops on the Course by various teachers, such as Kenneth Wapnick, Robert Perry, Jon Mundy, and others while we still lived in Albuquerque. So all in all, my wife and I have been devoted course students since 1986. In 2011, because of our age and our daughter Carol’s insistence, we decided to move to Denver, where she and her husband, Paul live. We knew about the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center from our previous visits to Denver; so we began attending the Sunday Gatherings at the Center each week. Not long thereafter, we became members. When given the opportunity, I like to share my experience with A Course in Miracles and how it has changed my relationship with those I meet and my perception of the world overall with anyone who wants to know.
Jim Godfrey
Jim has been a student of the Course for about 25 years. He joined David Morrisseys’ classes at the Center in the ’90s. Jim benefited from the way David blended the Course with The Way of Mastery into the spiritual studies at the Center. The beauty of the Course is knowing we can change our teacher from the ego to the Holy Spirit as any given moment so we can see through the vision of the Holy Spirit for true perception. Jim is currently one of the teachers for The Way of Mastery group held on Sunday mornings. You may contact Jim at jpgodfrey@juno.com</a
Mike Schneider
Mike practiced massage therapy part-time for almost 30 years along with other full-time professions. During this time he began his spiritual and religious studies and found ACIM. He has written several papers and maintains a website containing his work at fearless-spirit.org.
Joy Schultz
Joy grew up in Illinois and was raised in the Christian Science church which she loved very much. In her later teen years she wandered away and followed no spiritual path until she picked up the Course in 1986. She has have been looking to it for guidance, light, and healing ever since. She began leading a Course group in 2005, which she is currently not doing. Joy loves the Course deeply. She loves sharing the ideas with others because it helps her so much and it helps her to learn it. As the Course says “What higher function can there possibly be than to help release the world from pain and fear?”In 2004, her 17-year-old son took his life. Everything in her life was suspended. She spent much time with the Course, feeling the presence of Jesus and asking for His help. While she is incredibly grateful for the tremendous peace and healing she has been given, she realizes she still has much to learn, practice, and heal. Please visit her new blog www.joyofmiracles.blogspot.com to share her writings inspired by the Course.www.joyofthework.com
Doug Sparks
Doug Sparks began studying A Course In Miracles in 1976, the year it was published. In the 1980s, Doug’s understanding of the Course began to develop and deepen. This came about as a direct result of his introduction to the work of Dr. Kenneth Wapnick and the Foundation for A Course In Miracles. Doug led a weekly in-person ACIM study group in Boulder, Colorado for 35 years. He has taught many classes and workshops, including numerous well-attended events at RMMC. He recently (2021) started a weekly online class and discussion group based on Dr. Wapnick’s work. You can learn more about Doug’s work on his website.
Iron Eagle – Antonio Tucker
Here are Three Articles by Iron Eagle
Whitney W.
Whitney W. was introduced to A Course in Miracles in 2005, and she took up a committed study in 2010. Raised as a Christian Scientist, practiced in metaphysics, after studying a wide spectrum of spiritual teachings and participating in many personal transformation programs, Whitney found a home with the Course in Miracles. Early in her study Whitney was introduced to Ken Wapnick’s teachings on the Course, and immediately they had a profound influence on her understanding and practice. When Lyn Corona and Chris Dixon of the School of Reason (now the School for A Course in Miracles) offered the Course Immersion Program for ACIM students, Whitney jumped in with enthusiasm to learn more about forgiveness and how to be a teacher of God. Whitney now shares her love of the Course through the School for A Course in Miracles and is honored to continue her learning and practice of forgiveness with fellow students around her.
Raymond Wells
Ray and his wife Marjie discovered ACIM in 1985 and concluded that it had all the answers they were looking for, completely explaining why the world is so imperfect. ACIM gave them assurance that something better awaited all of humanity. You can read more about Ray’s history with the Course here. Ray is the author of A Course in Miracles Clarified: A Quick and Easy Guide. You can find out more about the book – including a free sample chapter – plus questions & answers and more on his website ACIMclarified.com.
Meribeth Wheatley
Meribeth was born in England and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1952. Her family was very involved with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (now Community of Christ Church) with its headquarters in Independence, Missouri. In 1983, Meribeth and her young family moved to the Colorado mountains where nature and the beautiful outdoors became her main place of worship. In 2002, after a divorce and her two sons grown, she decided to move to Maine where her desire to find her spiritual path began to manifest. On her way to Maine she had prayed, “Help me find my way home…wherever that is anymore.” It was in Maine, where due to her own physical difficulties, she discovered Reiki and soon was lead to A Course in Miracles. Meribeth studied the Course on her own until she returned to Colorado in 2006. In 2007 she moved to Denver and saw a notice that Gary Renard was going to be speaking at Rocky Mountain Miracle Center and decided to check it out. It was the right time to find others with like minds to discuss the ideas and truths from ACIM which resonated within her. From the first time she stepped through the doors of RMMC, it felt like home to he
Sue Wiggins
Sue Wiggins heard about A Course in Miracles in 2010 and was continually intrigued by the quotes spoken from the book by various spiritual teachers that she listened to during a time of spiritual seeking in her life. It was in 2013 when she purchased a copy of the book for herself. Sue started to read a few pages off and on from A Course in Miracles for about three years and found the words to be poetic, gentle, and also having a spiritual depth to them. After these three years of only having a casual peek at A Course in Miracles, Sue decided to seek a further look into the book and started to read a portion of the text and a workbook lesson every day. She discovered the School for A Course in Miracles after desiring to be a part of a study group after spending eight months in a daily individual study on her own. Sue was overjoyed to discover the offering of classes to help assist her in studying A Course in Miracles and took several classes, workshops, and Immersion classes. Sue spent 17 years studying and teaching Christianity, and six years studying spiritual awakening through various teachers, as well as attending New Thought churches for a couple of years. It was upon studying A Course in Miracles that all of the previous studying came together and presented a spiritual path to Sue that spoke to her most completely and profoundly. It is with great joy for Sue to share the Course’s message of the shift within us that is provided by forgiveness. The inner shift that takes us from our ego identification to our true identity within the heart of God is an exciting practice that Sue loves to share with others.
Tim Wise
Tim Wise was first introduced to the Course by a friend in Baltimore, Maryland in 1985. In August 1991, he began attending Ken Wapnick’s seminars at Ken’s foundation in Roscoe, New York. He continued to attend dozens of Ken’s seminars both in Roscoe and after their move to Temecula, California. He has also attended more than 2000 Course meetings all over the states and has facilitated Course study groups in seven states. He has listened multiple times to hundreds of Ken’s recorded seminars. He believes the practice of forgiveness as defined by the Course is the mission in this life in all his relationships. He sees his life’s “work” as extending the teachings of the Course in all situations, sometimes verbally, but primarily by demonstrating them. He is tremendously excited now to be a facilitator in School for A Course in Miracles (SFACIM.org) and its mission of sharing the Course’s teachings online with all those interested. In all of his many extensive travels, he considers the SFACIM to be one of the two best places to learn and understand and practice the Course, the first being Ken Wapnick’s Foundation for A Course in Miracles (FACIM.org) in Henderson, Nevada. In Memoriam:
Bud Ham
Bud was born on a ranch near Carbondale, Colorado. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he went to work for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph in Colorado Springs. He became the company’s first ever in-company Management Consultant. After several years, he started his own consulting firm known as A.O. Bud Ham Consulting. In the mid-1980s, he was sent the three volumes of A Course in Miracles by a California dentist he had befriended. The dentist later told Bud, “I was told to send the books to you.” The Manual for Teachers was Bud’s first experience with the Course. Bud has been a member of several Protestant churches and was most active in the Episcopal Church. After studying the life of Edgar Cayce, he started out on a different spiritual path. He studied Sathya Sai Baba and Siddha Yoga and was even an atheist for several years. However, he finally concluded that A Course in Miracles was his spiritual path. Bud has written and published two spiritual self-help books. His second book, Changing Places to Another Right Place, is currently available in RMMC’s book store. Bud’s recent study has included an immersion into The Jeshua Letters and The Way of Mastery. He wants people to know that anything in his personal life or spiritual journey is open for discussion. bud.budham@gmail.com
Chris Dixon-Bubick
Christine was born in a suburb of Lille, France and lived there during World War II. She was a war orphan whose father died for France at the beginning of the war when she was two. She had vivid memories of the war and France’s liberation. At seven she immigrated to the United States with her brother and mother and she recalled the shock of losing her culture, family, and language. Raised Catholic, Christine clung to the Catholic Church as her only lifeline when she arrived in the U.S., hardly questioning its teachings until she married and became a mother. She then began to question the validity of the Christian god who was both loving and vengeful. This god demanded illogical obedience from his children and punished them for their ignorance and weaknesses–weaknesses he supposedly gave them to “test” them. She eventually fell away from the church and began her spiritual quest. In 1986, after much research and study, pain and misery, she stumbled onto A Course in Miracles. It resonated with her immediately. She studied the Text and worked through the Workbook three times before venturing into published interpretations, particularly Kenneth Wapnick’s work. She led groups in her home. Still, it was many more years before she understood she was trying to make the Course fit into the dualistic learning she had accumulated. Studying Ken Wapnick’s material helped her begin to comprehend the metaphysics of the Course as non-dualistic, just as the God of the Course is non-dualistic. Changing her concept of God made all the difference. Christine led a group at the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center on Friday afternoons. She led on Sundays on a rotation basis, had served on the Board of Trustees, and was involved in developing The School For A Course in Miracles to benefit teachers and aspiring teachers of A Course in Miracles.
Charles Lang
Charles is a native of Colorado, where he’s spent most of his life. He has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Information Systems from Colorado University and Regis University, respectively, but considers himself more right-brained in his thinking, writing, and creativity. He served in the U. S. Army for 3 years and traveled extensively throughout Europe and the British Isles. Charles was ordained a permanent deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in 1975, but after some soul-searching, he left the Church to explore other spiritual paths, including Unity, Science of Mind, eventually winding up in a California cult which he immediately left when becoming aware of their unhealthy desires to control almost every aspect of their followers’ lives. Charles has a strong background in public speaking and facilitating groups, including preaching from the pulpit and teaching adult classes at Columbia College in Missouri, the Los Angeles Computer Learning Center and at many corporate offices where he worked. He also taught at Denver Free University for about 6 years. Charles worked 7 years in hospice as a volunteer, bereavement counselor, and chaplain. He says, “That time spent with people who were dealing with end-of-life issues were some of the most rewarding of my life, as well as being a classroom for learning compassion for my fellow brothers and sisters.” Charles is currently writing 2 books: an autobiography and a romance novel with a spiritual theme. He now considers himself a recovered-Catholic and since his initial exposure to ACIM some 15 years ago, has now come to fully embrace this extraordinary spiritual teaching. Charles has been attending the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center for the last 4-5 years and says, “Although a good background in ACIM principles is very important, as a leader at the Sunday gatherings, I would not assume the role of just being a teacher, but try to act more as a facilitator, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through everyone.” You may contact Charles at LivngLove@aol.com
