The Rocky Mountain Miracle Center is a community dedicated to the study and application of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) with the practice of forgiveness at the forefront of their lives. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite. This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God. ”
— A Course in Miracles Introduction
A Course in Miracles maintains that we all harbor guilt as a result of a repressed decision to separate from God. Believing this is possible and fearful of punishment, we project our unconscious guilt onto others in an effort to preserve our innocence, a futile process that condemns us to perpetual conflict. The Course teaches us to undo guilt at its source by practicing its unique form of forgiveness. As we forgive we awaken from the dream of separation and begin to experience our true wholeness. Peace returns to our minds and we remember God’s love, which never really left us.
